¨ Create a need based and relevant curriculum which builds on their experiences and keeps them close to their roots.

¨ Build a strong relationship with the target community and providing them income generating opportunities within the program.

¨ Use the available land and human resources fully and creatively to meet the needs of the program as far as possible.

¨ Educate in sustainable development, water management and modern techniques of farming.

 

Educational Activities

 

¨ Boarding: SR GHS will provide a fully residential program which will ensure full participation of the girls in the academic and extra-curricular activities.

¨ Food and Nutrition: As girls come from extremely deprived backgrounds, care will be taken to provide regular and balanced meals to the boarders.

¨ Extracurricular Activities: The program will offer a range of extracurricular activities such as sports, sewing/knitting, singing, dancing, art and craft for the development of a wholesome personality.

¨ Health Program: Each child will be regularly checked by doctors for any health problems, which will be attended to immediately. Visits to specialists and hospitals will be undertaken as per the needs of the student community.

Entrepreneurial Skills: To prepare  them for the real world, girls will be provided essential life skills training in a safe, supportive and supervised environment through small business ventures
